Deacon Mike is an ordained Roman Catholic Deacon. He has served as a per diem chaplain at Stony Brook since 2021. He holds a Bachelor degree in Mathematics from Fordham University and has completed one unit of CPE through The JED Center. Deacon Mike also serves at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Centereach, NY assisting in Sunday liturgy, baptisms, weddings, wakes, and funerals. He has also served as a Youth Minister, Grade level Religious Education Coordinator, Ministry of Consolation leader, Catechist, and Baptism Gathering facilitator. He volunteers for the Ronald McDonald Organization and also has a working knowledge of the Spanish language.
