The Rev. Eric Kasongo (M.Div., JCL, BCC) is a roman catholic priest, and a board-certified chaplain with NACC. He is a Juris Canon Lawyer (JCL) graduated from the Catholic University of Congo. Prior to coming to Stony Brook in April 2018, Eric was a priest- chaplain at Adventist Washington Hospital, a volunteer chaplain at Medstar (Washington-DC) and chaplain at Catholic health for 4 years, where he oversaw a yearlong residency program at Catholic health services’ Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE). Eric also served in the Democratic Republic of Congo as a parochial vicar, as his Bishop delegate, canon law’s teacher at the Catholic Theological School (DR Congo), and led diverse development projects and NGO.
He is Member of NACC, Member of National Association Canonist of Congo (NACCO), Member of National Association of Africans Catholics in United States (NAACUS), Member of African Development Association -NGO (ADA).
